Rozenburg, Den Haag, R. Sterken, 1903
a rare porcelain vase
A porcelain vase decorated with a spider in it's web between spider-chrysanthemums. An unknown modelnumber and an, up to now, unknown ridgy relief decor. According to the dutch magazine " Mededelingenblad Nederlandse Vereniging van Vrienden van de Ceramiek" (no.96, year 1979, p. 36) the Rozenburg factory produced 2 plates, model 15, with a ridgy relief decor.
The vase is marked with the stamped factory mark, the painters monogram Roelof Sterken, yearmark 1903 and workordernumber 610. High 6.3 inch.
