Amstelhoek, Amsterdam, C.J. van der Hoef, circa 1900
a very rare pair of vases
with an, in black and white clay, inlaid decoration of peacock feathers and lyre-birds. High 40 cm (15 3/4 inch). Most likely this pair of vases was exhibited at the first "L'exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs Modernes" at Turin in 1902.
